Good scores returned all round, although a few of us struggled on the back 9, unless your name is Dan Wheeler who was just Mr Consistent (Boring) for the whole round. Well done Dan!.
There were a few who had at least one good hole, Mel Blake hitting to within 3 ft on the 186yd par 3 14th and sinking the Birdie putt.
Playing off 26... a two shot hole, so a 5 Pointer scored.
Some managed to Tee off on the 17th Par 5 into the water, 3rd shot back into water, 5th shot into the bunker, 6th shot over the back ...& yes, back into the water hence Mr Tom Thumb Glover SCRATCHED the hole. Still it gave me and Chino a good laugh.
Thank you to the Guests who came along. Look forward to seeing you at Silvermere. Remember get those 3 cards in ASAP as you can still qualify for a couple of the Majors held throughout the year.
Mr Marsland, you do realise that if you had been a member at the start of this year you would have TWO 2nd place trophies to pick up already? If you were a member that is, so get that third card in OK. Note by Herb I make it a 3rd or even 4th at Paulton's.

Next Venue Silvermere
Well worth the travel as it boasts probably the best two finishing holes you are likely to play this year, with the Par 3 17th over water hitting into the green that slopes back to the water. Make sure you get the yardage right.
Then you have to step it up to the 18th, teeing off, long enough to reach the gap in the avenue of trees (Out of bounds left & water right) allowing you to hit your 2nd or 3rd shot to an island green. No pressure, just everyone in the club house watching you!
Update on the League Tables & Majors
Order of Merit (Club Champion)
Only 12 points separate the top 5 players, with another possible 12 Venues to score from, even Mr Mike Griffin can work out what's got to be done here & he can't count. More IMPORTANTLY guys there are only 4 more venues to be played before the TOP 16 Knockout Major starts, with a possible 8 players fighting for the last qualifying spot, with two relatively easy & two difficult courses to be played, don't forget
YOU HAVE TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT
Best 8 Games
Only 10 Points split the Top six Players
Don't Panic guys as we have another possible 13 venues to play to rack up your Best 8 scores for the year, so just watch how many times the Leader board will change.
Medal Champion
All change here, as good average scores posted this month, again no real panic as we still have a possible 13 venues to get your best 12 scores from.
Veterans Major
There is a NEW Leader this month, all change, I have to throw in an apology to Herb Miller as I did not realise he had turned 50 during the course of last year.
Well he never bothered throwing a party for reaching this landmark. Still he is short on friends.
SORRY Herb all updated now, anyone else who wants to admit they are either 50 or over now or in this coming year please let me know.
Handicap Adjustments
20 players gain shots, 8 Players CUT, 5 Non Movers & 7 guests waiting to post their cards.
