A Big thank you to all that showed up & supported our Captain on his day. A good day had by all, with great greens and a lovely sunny day.

Welcome

• Mr Alan George who has hit the BIG 50 in May and will now join the VETS Competition.
• Over from OZ Mr Chris Lagana, guest of Dan Wheeler, who shot 42 points playing off 26. Enough said !!
• Welcome back to Mr Lee Ainsley & Anthony Jeram. Good to see you guys.

Well Done's

• Firstly to Mr Herb Miller, who didn't do much in the team event in the morning but managed to WIN the afternoon event for himself.
• Our Captain Mr Bob "Bisto,Liver" Onions Unwin who came a close 2nd by 1 point, even with a 5 Pointer.
• Team 2 of the morning event: Mark Griffin, Lee Ainsley, Herb Miller & Trevor Geddes - Winners with 66 points,
• with Bob Budd, Rod Smith, Mick Pink & Dave Glover taking 2nd place on count back with 58 Points.
• Dave Farrell & Trevor Geddes only 2 over par & Jason Mihell 4 over par for the morning round. ( What happened in the afternoon guys peak too soon?)

Handicaps

Players CUT; Herb Miller - 17, Bob Unwin - 20, Mike Griffin - 23, Mark Griffin - 16, Jason Bowles - 15, Anthony Jeram - 17 & if he has the balls to turn up again, Chris Lagana - 21.

Players with Full shots returned; Sam Fraser - 12, Bob Baldacchino - 12, Bob Whitcombe - 20, Dave Glover - 14, Richie Earp - 19, Alan George - 16 & Andrew Hall - 15.

Future Competitions

Although our next venue Furzeley does not count towards the knock out competition, our other June fixture, at Old Thorns, is the last chance to qualify. We will be playing it just 2 weeks after it holding its club championship, so it is likely to be pretty tough going. We have possibly 3-6 players just outside the cut who will need to put in a massive performance before the Final 16 are selected.
